Pray, -109 dayz

When my boys were little, I shared the practice of praying for the people inside an ambulance as it sirened by.

Now that my oldest has completed EMT training, this practice is even more potent.

Last night, however, I found myself expanding the practice, and then sharing that expansion with my youngest, to soothe whatever angst he is picking up from his parents and his country and its politics.

“I’m sending the energy of light and clarity and integrity to the White House,” I said, toward the ever-rising alarm emanating from inside our democracy.
